The short take...

We're enjoying a crazy summer (already), before Kate starts Kindergarten (ALREADY!!?) this fall. Our kids are so much fun, and we are SO blessed!

There are times you keep waiting to do something until you have enough time to do it completely...and the more you wait, the harder it is to do...well, here's one example! I'm looking at the previous entry here on our web page and see a promise that we'll post more soon...that was in January.

Oh well.

There's no way I can do the last five months justice, but I've got to get the ball rolling again somehow! So, let's hit some of the things that have happened so far this year:

-Dave retired
-Daniel had a birthday
-Retirement party for Dave
-Dave got another job (he loves it)
-Papa went to stay with our aunt and uncle for a few months, and will be back this weekend!
-Road trips of several purposes
-Michele took a trip to the UK
-Michele and Hannah are getting ready to go to Italy
-Daniel continues to excel at his training, and will be getting his wings soon!
-We're planning on going out to his graduation ceremony to see him get his wings, and spend a week on the beach with him afterward.
-Winter has left, spring is just about gone, and we're wondering if the monsoons are starting soon
-We were actually still keeping up with pictures in Kate's section (above), though I wasn't posting links on the front page, so you'd have had to have been checking on your own.
-We grouted the flagstone in our back yard, so Kate can actually play outside in the great weather!
-Michael and Kyla are working hard at their jobs...being busy right now is such a blessing!
-Easter was a blast
-We took Kate to several birthday parties for her friends
-Kyla had a birthday
-Michael's about to.
-Kate grew up

That last one is only kind of a joke. It's incredible how much she's learned in the last few months. She can say the alphabet flawlessly up to "L", and only misses a few letters and orders after that (this is without prompting). She's starting to "read" to herself- you can tell she knows what page of a book she's on, and she's making herself understood quite well. The other day, I sneezed at the table, and she looked at me and said in a crystal-clear voice, "Bless you!".

Well, that's about all I can muster for right now...I'll try to get back to friday afternoon updates though, so you can keep up with what's going on!
